Ohhhhhhhh! The beanstalk moaned under the heavy weight of the ogre. This one's mine! The towering plant began to sway and shake, trying to knock the ogre off. Jack ran towards the beanstalk with an axe. He swung the axe towards the beanstalk. Just as the blade touched the plant, the beanstalk snapped under the heavy weight of the ogre. The beanstalk and ogre crashed to the ground. The ogre landed near the edge of a cliff. He teetered on the ledge for a moment, then fell over the side. After a long silence, a loud thump was heard as he hit the bottom, many thousand feet below.
The magical sound of the harp cured Jack's mother's sadness. She was once again happy and cheerful. The hen kept on laying golden eggs. The ogre's body was forever lost at the bottom of the cliff and his wife never found out exactly what happened. The doctors were all fired since their services were no longer needed. Jack went out and bought a new cow to remind them of Gateway and how all of this began. One time, Jack thought that one of the travellers that they took in was actually the stranger that sold Jack the beans in the first place, but he denied ever having seen Jack before. Jack and his mother lived happily ever after.
